Fighting Myself

Thoughts rushing in,

Like a bursting dam

Flooding the Valley.

Mindful of nothing,

But the pending doom.

Waiting, shivering, wavering

As one dying in the cold.

The futile fight,

Of drowning water,

Keeps my focus

On survival of

Another night.

Restless, knowing

Something must be done.

Not finding the strength,

From swallowed thoughts.

Chest filled with

Blackened remorse.

Surrounded with misery.

Despair, killing

Motivation.

Where is the fight?

  1. The toughest fight in our lives is with ourselves. Hang in there mate. Remember it’s God of YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING. It’s your relationship with life itself.
