Run Away

Breath caught in the throat,

Dry panic sets in.

Squinting to avoid,

Seeing the terror.

Senses heightened,

To the fear gripping

through the bones

Into the heart, the soul.

Every strength,

Forces the movement.

Legs pumping,

Momentum building.

Run frightened one,

Let your confidence

Waver, shredded

From thoughts.

We both know

The fear in front of you,

Is not what you fear.

Your fear compels you

To return from

Where you came.

Run, little one, run.

  1. I like reading stuff like this. Makes me wonder .. It was always changes depending on the readers view. It’s not one of those things that you read and only has ONE answer.
